2011 La Carlota Pasalamat Rhythm Competition Winners

Rhythm competition is one of the highlights in the week-long La Carlota annual Pasalamat Festival.

The late former La Carlota mayor Nonoy Jalandoni, an adept thumb-thumb player introduced this samba beat, which made La Carlota's identity in among mardigras or festivals in and out of the country, Philippines.

The winners for 2011 rhythm competition were as follows:

2nd runner up - Tribu UNO
1st runner up - Tribu RSB
The Champion  - Tribu DOS

This competition has brought Mangkas (La Carlota ancient name) to the limelight of any festivity as far as tourism is concerned.
