Bro. Rexie composed this song last year 2018 and Bro. Jay-r provided the tune. They first sang this as their musical number during the La Carlota District YSA Conference at Zaycoland, Kabankalan, November 1 and 2, 2019.

Why RapPanalangin?

The title is a combination of Rap and Panginoon. Rap is another style of singing while "Panginoon" is the Filipino term which means Lord. The first letter of it is referred to prayer. Thus, RapPanalangin is a prayer in a song.
The training team members of the Negros Occidental Council of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines paid a surprised visit to Sir Aking Torrefranca in his residence at Gan Subdivision, La Carlota City on the following day after they conducted the last camp fire to the late TTM Romeo Toda.
Sir Aking beamed upon seeing his fellow scouters in his humble home. Suffering from a stroke, he managed to welcome Sir Bert Maguad, Council Scout Executive; Sir Ben Fundador, Sir Allan Agraviador, Sir Antonio C. Biangco, and the four lady scouters, Mesdames Imelda Escobar, Lynne Brillo, Thelma Lamason Ortencio, and Charit Gangoso.

He moved by the aid of a cane. It was recalled that while he was giving a speech by proclaiming a school queen, he suddenly became unconscious and he was rushed to the hospital. At least he recovered but he couldn't perform his scouting routine anymore. In short, he was out for circulation as far as scouting activities are concerned. He just stayed at home, watching television. It seems nobody remember him anymore, but not his associates in the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Negros Occidental Council.
Sir Aking, Stalwart in Local Scouting

Sir Aquino Ignacio Torrefranca, a retired District Ill Supervisor, is a byword among scouts and scouters in Negros Occidental as far as scouting is concerned. Sir Aking aa fondly called by anyone who is well acquainted with him is a close buddy of the late Sir Roming Toda. As one of the stalwarts in scouting and like Sir Roming, he played a major role in training the boy scouts and the adult scouts.

He's well remembered by his signature scouting song, "Luningning". Sir Aking demonstrated it to his comrades in spite of his partial disability. He also did an action song like "I Love Scouting" and more. The following amateur video taken by Mam Thelma Lamaso signified that Sir Aking has stamina, the zest and the vigor of a true blooded scouter unaffected by his illness.
He expressed how President Duterte's concern on scouting, that is to encourage and to activate scouting in every school to have a "stable generation" - a generation of citizenry that love their country.

He further said by influence our next generation to love their country is a giving a chance of our country to prosper. He qualified that a citizenry that never love their country - they're nothing. He believed that this is the missing link or weakness that the population never loof after their nation personally.
With Beyonce's HUGE pregnancy shocker announcement this week, fans were concerned as to whether or not the 35 year old songstress would still be headlining the Coachella Music Festival in April in California. It has not been confirmed just how far along Bey is in her pregnancy, but fans are pretty sure that she will be nearing the end of her pregnancy by April, and therefore were not sure if she would still be clear to perform at that time.

Sources close to Beyonce's camp say that she was scheduled to make more than $1 million from the Coachella two night performance, and depending on how far along she is in her pregnancy and her high risk status, she might not be cleared to perform after all. Some entertainers, however, have special insurance policies that still ensure that they get paid in the event of “incapacity,” which could apply to Bey if she is deemed too high risk to perform.

Despite the initial fear over what would happen with Beyonce's Coachella performance, since she will likely be in her third trimester by then, all signs are looking like she will still be performing in April after all. Sources say that Bey has booked two different guest stars to join her onstage during the festival, one from the Roc Nation label and one from a different label. Sources say that these guests already have blacked out their schedules for the Coachella dates, and they both knew well in advance about Bey's pregnancy. It's definitely going to be interesting to see how this festival turns out!
Small but terrible! This description fits this talented young boy, Mars Daniel C. Kudemus who did a very impressive, humble reenactment of 120th death anniversary of Jose Rizal. Everyone has become emotional for such heroic, touchy presentation through the words, phrases and works of Rizal.

Daniel Mars is a consistent winners in various cultural contest and in scouting activities as far as poem or verse vocalization (Binalaybay) in Filipino, English and in Ilonggo. To name a few, he was the champion in Talumpati (impromptu) Elementary Category in the recent Nation of Heroes 4 Regional Youth Summit.

He is the son of Sir Marben Kudemus, a mathematics teacher of La Carlota Sotuh Elementary School and Mrs. Lorena Cabasag of La Carlota City.

Below is the video of the kid in his interpretative speech emphasizing the importance of education in relation to the life and works of the hero, Jose Rizal.
Importance of Family and Education

This year guest speaker on the 120th Anniversary of Jose Rizal's Martyrdom stressed the value of family, the value of education as exemplified.

"Family is important so as with education" says Roy B. Basa in his message in the 120th Death Anniversary of Jose Rizal as humbly commemorated by the concerned citizens of the small city of La Carlota in an austere program held at the monument of Rizal at the public plaza. Teachers and some government government employees and officials graced the momentous historical event and did some honor to give the floral offering.
He's the youngest child of our 6 children. He's a talented fellow. I taught him how to play the guitar, how to play the piano. He could easily learn and could play better than me.
When I was in my teenage years I used to join with the school glee club. I took the bass part of the male voice. I was a lover music. My favorite popular band during my time was The Beatles, Herman Hermits, The Cascades,

I was a self-taught musician. When I was in the elementary, I used to collect several copies of a song hits where I got the lyrics of my favorite songs of The Beatles and sang along to the music played on the radio.

At home, I have an acoustic guitar. When I got home after my job, while I was resting for several hours I took the guitar and played my favorite song while singing. My son was my audience. When we became member of The Church, he got a chance to join with the members' band. He played the lead guitar.
As what I had done before when I composed my first song, "My Singing Doll", it was dedicated to my high school sweetheart. Now his song composition, "My Love Will Break", he did this to express his feeling for his sweetheart for he will leaving soon to do a missionary work.
Loving me will give all you love to sacrifice
That's why, you've got to risk your time sometimes
You'll do, you'll do your way
It's for us not me, or else your heart will break.

We must give our best although our live will grow
We're far at least we can feel our love that's true
We know we will feel the same
If we can't survive our heart and love will break.

Then we know we will feel the same
If we can't survive our heart and love will break.
Accident may happen when you least expect it. It may be due to personal carelessness or negligence or due to mechanical fault or malfunction of a machine. In time like that, the victim becomes helpless and immovable unless there are persons who apt to give assistance or give the first aid before the medical assistance arrives.
Recently I personally witnessed how a road mishap victim was rescued by DYA group of volunteers in Bacolod, Philippines. The vehicular accident was between a motorcyle rider and a van. I didn't see actually how did the accident happen but I just took footage of the DYA did the rescue job in taking care of the victim and transporting him to the nearest hospital, Southern Bacolod General Hospital (SBGH).

This the first time I knew DYA. According to wikipedia.org,, DYA (Detente Y Ayuda) is a nonprofit organization and it is founded in 1966 in Bilbao (Vizcaya) by Dr. Juan Antonio Usparitza Lecumberri. It has a comprehensive emergency management to equip their volunteer-members to do the rescue job on roadside assistance. It is currently operating in Spain and on the island of Negros and Panay (Philippines).

Using my mobile phone, I took the footage on how the Bacolod DYA Rescue Team did an exemplary rescue job in the fateful day of September 30 past noon. No wonder DYA has received various recognition, awards, and honors for their humanity rescue, care activities. DYA is ever ready to response in case an emergency arises. I was impressed and saluted the Bacolod Rescue Group of DYA for their well-done job in rescuing the motorist involved in a vehicular accident happened and in transporting him to the nearest hospital.

I would like also to recognize the assistance of unidentified person who protected the victim from the scorching heat of the noonday sun. He held an umbrella for several minutes to give cover the victim lying on the road until the rescuers arrived and transferred the victim to the ambulance, and brought him to the medical center.
Pagandahin at bihisan
Ang silid aralan
At kanyang kapaligiran
Para sa paaralang ligtas
Tayo (Tayo)
Maayos at handa mula
Mayor Juliet Marie Ferrer beat the ceremonial drum to officially open the 37th Pasalamamat Festival of La Carlota City for 2016, following the cutting of the ribbon by Congressman Jeffrey Ferrer, Vice Mayor Jacky Jalandoni, and Bob Cuenca.

Earlier the rites were preceded by the thanksgiving mass and the blessing of 12 basic products of the city by Rev. Father Armando Inion.

Fr. Frances Ledesma who officiated the thanksgiving mass centered his sermon on the four important things the occasion like Pasalamat Festival should be. He said that to serve God is to thank Him of what He has blessed everyone.

He said what the people actually achieve and fulfill in a thanksgiving is like reaching the "heaven", being grateful to "Emmanuel", taking the opportunity as a "mission", and making a difference.

Could it be an ordeal in party to play the piano instantly, without practice after 30 years of inactivity? Yes, it is for my reflexes don't work so well. I need more and more practice to perfect it. Anyway, I did. I played one Church hymn, "How Great Thou Art".
Self-Made Musician

I am a self-made musician as inspired by my late father, Hilarion.

The first musical stringed instrument that I was exposed to was a ukelele. It was broken due to inactivity. I was the only son in the our family who stayed with my parents. The rest of my siblings were married and had their own family. The ukelele was played by me without direction, until it was totally broken.

My interest in music began to develop when one of my elementary classmates brought a guitar to our school and started playing it. "How I wish I could play the guitar too," I mumbled.

Every time I saw a person playing a guitar I stopped and listened attentively. My interest had fully developed when I'd a classmate in 3rd year high school, who was so talented in playing the guitar. I learned some basic guitar chords from him.

When I continued my college studies, guitar playing became my hobby and I bought one for my playing pleasure. It didn't last for I accidentally stepped on it when I placed it on top of my bed.

Song Composition

My interest in music never stopped. I even composed one song for my high school sweetheart and had written it in a musical piece. I drafted the notes I created from the piano of the Church.

Reading musical notes came naturally to me for my interest. I am very meticulous when it comes to work. And I am almost engrossed to any kind of hobby which I like such as writing, strumming the guitar, song writing and composition, among others.

Now, playing piano for the first time was to difficult and it's boring. I couldn't stay long in the piano brought by non-mastery of playing the various notes or keys on the piano.

"How Great Thou Art"

More or less 30 years ago, I played the piano for the first time to accompany the Church choir in our Stake Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, La Carlota City. Five Church hymns I tackled for the said annual conference of Church members from Kabankalan, Negros Occidental in the south and from Bago City in the North.

This Sunday after our services before lunch time, I went inside the Church cultural hall and opened the piano and played with a limited time of warming up "How Great Thou Art". My fingers didn't work well. Some failed to strike the right notes and the timing was a bit incongruous.

I request my grandson, Toto Bryan, to capture the momentous situation which I was playing the piano. I want to have it for a souvenir and for posterity as well.

I am very thankful for the Lord of giving me such musical talent which I value much and am happy about it. In such talent, I've served the Lord through music.
Getting excited to play the guitar again after more than 35 years of occasionally playing it in a certain occasion, in a cultural contest during my college days.
Taking a time out after I ate my lunch in my office in our school, I was prompted of a desire to strum a guitar while I was watching from my cellphone the video of The Ventures in their 50th Year Anniversary live in Japan, which I downloaded from the YouTube.

I texted my male teacher, Sir Raffy P. Medes to lend me his acoustic guitar. By and by a grade six pupil arrived and he was carrying the guitar and handed it to me.

I strummed it and got to use myself some familiar tunes I used to play before in my college days and some folk music and songs like "Leron, Leron, Sinta", "Pamulinawen," "Bahay Kubo," "Dandansoy," among others.

"We Say Mabuhay"

I wanted to record in a video an instrumental march, "We Say Mabuhay", which is the PH presidential march and it was composed by the late Tirso Cruz, Sr.

Here's my an amateur guitar rendition of "We Say Mabuhay" which was captured by my cellphone for your easy listening and a bit of entertainment for that matter, though it was not perfectly done:
A two-year old Sophie went along with us as we spent our family outing at the beach every year. Inday Sophie is our youngest daughter from An An's (Gynrey) three daughters.

The last time we brought Inday Sophie was last year 2014 at Las Olas Beach. She was 1 year old then at that time. She was too daring to get into the splashing sea water.

In her second exposure to the sea water was more enjoyable. I even named her as Sophie free as the wind for hyper. She explored the water by running to and fro. And we're surprised when she did something that made us amuse too much and laughed out loud. See it for yourself by clicking the attached amateur video I made from my handy phone.
For married couples who are hopeful to get pregnant, health is so vita and fitness as welll. Their body condition, especially their well-being as a robust, a healthy body could nevertheless guarantee a better pregnancy among those couples.

Staying healthy and fit is one of the best things a couple trying to conceive can do next to pinpointing ovulation for more chances of conceiving. According to http://pregnancytips.org, our lifestyle nowadays has a great impact on our fertility. You and your partner may improve your fertility by choosing what you eat. Canned, processed and junk foods are known to have a negative effect on fertility so you may want to avoid eating those foods and instead choose to eat fresh fruits and vegetables instead which are not only known to boost fertility but also packed with nutrients and mineral that our body needs. If you or your partner is smoking or taking alcohol, it’s better to stop it as early as now.

Exercise can also help you and your partner stay fit and healthy to improve your fertility. If your partner is into going to hot places like saunas, hot tubs or Jacuzzis, you may want him to start avoiding that as these are known as the number one sperm killers and may not be helpful in your TTC journey.

The food-intakes and the physical tone of the body which physiologically functions normally is a must requirement for an expected would-be mother, especially in the conception period. Health and fitness may work a natural wonder to a conceiving mother to be.
Song competition, bulilit and adult category, and dance (hataw sa sayaw) were gone through the Saturday night, uninterrupted by intermittent pouring of the rain. The contestants were so determined to push it through. The must go on, rain or shine, so to speak.

Follows are my amateur video taken during that night at the public plaza of La Carlota:
Berteni Cataluña Causing, known to friends in media as "Toto Causing" has composed this original song"Himig ng Katarungan" [Sound of freedom], to convey his advocacy for all Filipinos to embrace "Hukuman ng Mamamayan" or Jury System.

He believes that this song is the only way for ordinary Filipinos to be encouraged to work well and decently. With this system of justice, the policemen amongst us will now be working well that they will no longer sell their arrests, no longer arrest without justification, no longer will extort, and will no longer worry that their higher officers will bully them and transfer them to "freezer" assignment (Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit) if they happen to be truthful to their works. Our ordinary staffers in every government offices will no longer be worried to perform their official functions that their bosses might fire them. Our decisions in court will be fair. Our prosecutors will now behave in accordance with "real" probable cause.

HIMIG NG KATARUNGAN

I

Chorus I

Naisilang ang rebelyon dahil sa mga abusado,
Naghimagsik ang mga Muslim dahil sa diskriminasyon,
Bayan lubog sa pagnanakaw na di napaparusahan,
Sila’y naghahari dahil takot ng tao’y sinasamantala,
O Diyos ko…

II

(Repeat All)

Note Permission to print the entire lyrics of the song is granted to this blogger as well as his original video link by Toto Causiing.
They believe that this occasion is a humble way of thanksgiving and hope for the best in the following year.

Christmas season is usually enhanced and made alive by lights all over the houses, the towns and cities which illuminated the trees in their plaza. Thus, festival of lights is being held by those municipalities and other municipalities.

The government of La Castellana finds it appropriate to highlight the Christmas season by this dances of light or in Spanish - "Bailes de Luces" which started in 1997.

I first chanced to personally witness the dazzling, glimmering, glistening costumes of various Barangay participants as lighted by a variety of battery-operated pieces of lights as they gyrated and danced in the main streets of La Castellana and finally ended across the street of the town's hall.

The Dancers on their best performance. See it the following video which I personally taken it using my digital handy phone video.

Next is the parade of muses on their float, dancing to the music provided especially for the occasion.

The dances of lights lasted for almost more than two hours. You could really appreciate this festival if you personally come to the place of La Castellana.

Street dancing is usually held on December 30 at around 7:00 in the evening. It is participated in by the barangay and also the elementary pupils. Prizes are at stake for this competition.

The culmination of this annual Bailes de Luces is January 5. The group of barangay dancers participating in performs at the town's grand arena at the public plaza.

For the residents of La Castellana, lights are given them the opportunity to excel in their everyday undertakings, to overcome trials in their lives and be able to succeed in the following year. Lights have led them to be grateful and thankful for all forms of the blessings that come to their lives.

When there is light, there is hope. Where there is light, everyone should be thankful of. For light is Christ and Christ is the hope of all mankind for their spiritual salvation.

January 5 is the culmination of these dances of lights with grand arena contest participated in by elementary school and barangay category respectively.
La Carlota DepEd Night 2013 shows the best of the best of teachers' talents on singing, dancing in a one-night stand.

The small division of La Carlota City, Department of Education joined the city in her annual festival of lights and music to celebrate Christmas.

The three districts and various secondary schools and their extensions showed their best talents in singing, dancing and in one-act play depicting the true spirit of Christmas.

As the schools division superintendent puts it, this year's DepEd night is celebrated in the other side of glitteriing, shimmering Christmas night of that the other year.

Our district II was led by the Special Education (SPED) teachers and joined by the La Carlota North ES teachers. We, the school principals in the said district did our best by showing our latent talent in dancing.

The following amateur video taken by our youngest daughter, was showing how I did my best following other dancers for I hadn't time in for practice. I just joined the dance presentation on the spot. My performance was a bit awkward, but at least I did it.

This was how we did our part in making this year's DepEd night a memorable one, making everyone happy and having fun with a joyous, merry Christmas presentation the District own unique way.

This one of the wholesome night activities of those school heads and teachers to dance away with their blues, worries and sorrows especially this joyful month of December. Merry Christmas!
